Immingham Rock School Bronze Arts Award

Ten young people who took part in the Immingham Rock School programme have successfully completed their bronze Arts award with the help and guidance of local Arts Award advisor Annabel McCourt.

The young people worked on their award during their weekly Rock school sessions using some of their time to focus on the project.

They created a website that included short films of them speaking about their musical heroes, photographs and footage of gigs and their experiences taking part.

Trinity Arts Award were impressed by the project and have even used a photograph of some of the young people for the front cover of their new booklet!

Annabel McCourt commented: "The young people are naturally talented musical artists and from an Arts Award perspective, it is simply a platform to draw together all of their skills in a celebration of what can be achieved when they're having a lot of fun and doing what they love. The website/blog is a great tool for moderation, learning by stealth, reflective learning and generally just being a Rock God/Goddess in Immingham!"
