Biography

Period: Renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary

Piers Adams has been heralded by the Washington Post as 'the reigning recorder virtuoso in the world today'. Founder and ringleader of the baroque super-group Red Priest, he is recognised internationally for his astonishing technical command and musical imagination, expressed through a repertoire spanning many musical genres. In recital with the harpsichordist David Wright he performs music from the renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic and modern eras. As a concerto soloist he has performed with numerous orchestras including the Academy of Ancient Music, the BBC Symphony, OSJ, Irish Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonia.
