Biography

Ensemble DeNOTE has established a niche in the performance of chamber music from the later classical period on historical keyboards, winds and strings. DeNOTE's CD, Beethoven and the Art of Arrangement (2015) gained a 5* review in Early Music Review and was praised by Sir Roger Norrington as follows: 'The playing is splendid, with a nice early 19th century feel...an approach which is both serious and enjoyable.' DeNOTE were 'Making Music' Selected Artists (Concert Promoters' Group) for 2015-16 and have performed across the UK, including the Brighton Early Music Festival; Greenwich International Early Music Festival, The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and St. Cecilia's Hall in Edinburgh. Their recent 'Mozart Project Live!' interactive show, presenting Mozart's chamber music alongside digital technology for iPad, was supported with funding from Arts Council England. In 2017 they will be featured in concerts and related educational workshops within the Hull UK Capital of Culture programme.
