Biography

Anneke Scott has been described as 'rapidly emerging as one of the outstanding younger exponents of the natural horn'. The recipient of many prestigious scholarships during her studies in London, France and Holland she has quickly established herself as a specialist in her field and is frequently to be heard playing with many of Europe's leading period instrument ensembles. An active chamber musician and soloist Anneke began collaborating with the fortepianist Kathryn Cok in 2003. This highly successful duo is able to offer a wide range of programmes that illustrate the exciting repertoire for fortepiano and horn, an instrument described by one 19th-century writer as; the most beautiful of wind instruments in its timbre and the quality of its sounds, the emotion which it awakens has a charm, that none can resist.' Anneke is also able to offer larger programmes such as programmes of Classical and Romantic works for horn and strings centred around the Mozart Horn Quintet and programmes of Romantic works for horn, violin, and piano centred around the Brahms Horn Trio.
