Formed in 2002, Piva is one of the country's leading early music groups specializing in popular dance and ballad music of the late Renaissance. Playing an array of instruments, their fresh, innovative and energetic approach has captured the imagination of audiences wherever it performs. They've even crossed the divide between musical genres: receiving praise in both Classical Music and fRoots magazines.

Piva presents lively and entertaining shows with a unique blend of music and anecdote. Multi-instrumentalists with backgrounds in renaissance, jazz, classical, folk and roots music; its members comine their influences to create music of the past played for today.
