Musical Play in a Week 2013
This year's play is an exciting adventure, set during the turbulent times of the English Civil War. Jane Ingilby lived a quiet, comfortable life in Ripley Castle until the Civil War turned her world upside down. As the fighting draws ever closer, threatening her family and friends, Jane finds herself embroiled in the conflict. Determined to protect those she holds dear, Jane resolves to stand up for her principles, whatever the cost. Her adventures take her into the heart of battle and face-to-face with her enemy, Oliver Cromwell himself.
If you enjoy singing, making music (any instrument), acting, or just want to have a go, join us in a week of creativity and fun! The week is suitable for 9 to 14 year olds. No previous experience is required, just enthusiasm and commitment.
The daily sessions take place at the National Centre for Early Music from 10am to 4pm, culminating in a performance for family and friends on Friday 16 August at 7pm. The fee is £100 per child.
