SPECTRUM continues it's successful series of York concerts with John Rutter's spellbinding Requiem alongside other popular choral works, including the Allegri Miserere and Parry's Songs of Farewell.
Spectrum is a young, dynamic chamber choir based in York, founded and directed by Ben Horden.  Members of the ensemble are selected from the many talented musicians and singers studying at the University of York.  The Choir performs a wide repertoire of music spanning over 500 years, from Renaissance polyphony and masters of the High Baroque to choral music of the present day. Spectrum continues a successful programme of events after its debut in York Minster in January 2012.
Spectrum is currently a non-profit making organisation; rather our focus is to enjoy making music together and to develop musically as a group, aiming to produce informed performances of the very highest standards and to share that music-making with the people of the city.
