A strictly sentimental art

Reicha - Wind Quintet in G major, Op.88 No.3
Reicha - Adagio in D minor
Reicha - Wind Quintet in B flat major, Op.100 No.6

Bohemian-born Anton Reicha was a prolific and wide-ranging composer, a theorist and a friend of Haydn and Beethoven, but it is for his attractive and skilfully wrought chamber music for winds that he is known today. His crucial role in the development of the wind quintet in particular is celebrated in this prize concert by the latest ensemble to join the distinguished ranks of winners of our biennial International Young Artists Competition.

Information about the 2015 IYAC will be available from September 2014. Please check out the website www.ncem.co.uk/youngartists2015
