Fabio Bonizzoni celebrates the genius of Girolamo Frescobaldi, organist of St Peter's in Rome and one of the most significant and admired keyboard composers of the early Baroque. Frescobaldi's compositions are set alongside works by two 17thcentury keyboard giants, Froberger and Louis Couperin, as well as pieces from the Iberian peninsula by Cabezón and Carreira, and one of Bach's brilliant early toccatas.

"Others have tried...but few have succeeded like Fabio Bonizzoni.. It''s a benchmark disc, fusing intellectual rigour with soulful expression.” BBC Music Magazine
