As one of the foremost saxophonists in the country and influenced by players such as Stan Getz and Ronnie Scott, Karen has developed her own sound and approach to jazz. She has won the tenor saxophone category in the British Jazz Awards four times and has become a highly respected figure in the British jazz scene. Karen is joined by world-class musicians and performs a mixture of standards and contemporary tunes by Jimmy Rowles, Thelonius Monk, Mingus and Kenny Wheeler with material from the band's latest album, 'Spirit' as well as some new compositions.

'Karen Sharp has risen from newcomer in Humphrey Lyttelton's final band to being voted top tenor saxophonist in the 2012 British Jazz awards. Her quartet is undisputedly A-team, full of pleasant surprises.' The Observer
