Heidi Talbot

NCEM, York
Monday 14 April 7:30pm

Adults £16.00 | Concessions £14.00  SOLD OUT

With John McCusker (fiddle) and Ian Carr (guitar)

Widely regarded as one of the finest folk singers of her generation, Heidi grew up in a musical household in Co. Kildare before moving to New York and coming to initial prominence with Irish American supergroup Cherish The Ladies. She made her solo breakthrough in 2008 with a sublime mix of traditional songs and covers, but soon began to write her own material.

Heidi has collaborated with many top artists, for example Mark Knopfler and Jerry Douglas, on her latest 5-star release 'Angels Without Wings', which demonstrates her growing stature as a composer, often writing in partnership with long-time friend Boo Hewerdine or with husband and producer John McCusker.

"Simply vocal heaven” The Sunday Times

"A voice that's both awestruck and tender” The New York Times
