North Yorkshire Early Years Conference - 28th February 2012

Music4U is working with the NYMAZ (North Yorkshire Music Action Zone) on 'Enjoying Music in Early Years' - an early years conference taking place on Tuesday 28 February 2012 at Pavilions in Harrogate with a keynote presentation by Professor Cathy Nutbrown.

As part of this event Cathryn Dew, music consultant with the National Centre for Early Music will be running a session on Melody Monkey's Marvellous Music Box. During the workshop, she will explore how the resource's songs, games and stories help children learn musical concepts while also developing language, numeracy and social skills. She will look at ways to use instruments, puppets and other props for Early Years music making, discuss the ways in which babies and young children engage and interact with music, and examine how children develop musical skills.

Tickets will be priced at £35 per person, with a discounted early bird rate of £30 available until 31 December 2011. and are available from the National Centre for Early Music Box Office.
