The 2016 York Early Music Christmas Festival runs from Thursday 8th to Thursday 15th December. Featured artists include Spiritato! (Thursday 8th); Gothic Voices (Friday 9th); Yorkshire Bach Choir (Saturday 10th); Trevor Pinnock and Rachel Podger (Sunday 11th); Joglaresa (Monday 12th), Renaissance (Tuesday 13th), Red Priest (Wednesday 14th) and In Echo directed by Gawain Glenton with violinist Bojan Cicic, Emily White trombone and Silas Wollston keyboards (Thursday 15th).
Highlights include the third in a series of residencies supported through our Creative Europe EEEmerging project - a programme designed to support young professional ensembles - with the Goldfinch Ensemble joining us on Saturday 10th December, a workshop for choral singers led by the charismatic composer/conductor James Weeks and an exhibition of sketches by the award-winning artist James Albon.
