Liu Fang Liu Fang's mastery of the pipa (Chinese lute) and the guzheng (Chinese harp) has established her international reputation as a talented young interpreter of traditional Chinese music.

She combines eastern traditions with western classical music, contemporary music and improvisation, thereby creating new musical forms and uniting different cultures.

Her repertory includes Chinese music of both classical and folk traditions. Lui Fan has performed at WOMAD, Bath International Music Festival and Folkfest Rudolstadt in Germany as well as making numerous national and international radio recordings and tv appearances, recorded for films and released six CDs, the most recent of which is ‘The Soul of the Pipa’.
