Music of the Spanish Enlightenment
Concerto 1700, founded in 2015 by the charismatic violinist Daniel Pinteño, is renowned across Europe for its virtuosity and flair. Coming for the first time to the NCEM stage, Concerto 1700 will present a sparkling programme of 18th century string trios by Castle, Boccherini and Brunetti – written to please both the Royal Court of Madrid but also a civil society eager to experience new science and culture; the music of a Spain connected with the most innovative musical currents of its time.
The NCEM is truly delighted to welcome two of Spain’s finest early music ensembles to York – with grateful thanks to the Instituto Cervantes co-organised with Spanish National Centre for the Promotion of Music (CNDM, Madrid), INAEM, Spanish Ministry of Sport and Culture and with funding from the European Union – Nextgeneration.eu
Please note there is a £1.50 administration fee per transaction
Event Date: 14/05/2023 7:00 pm
The NCEM is available to hire for anniversaries, birthday parties, wedding receptions, conferences, dinners and musical events.
