A workshop for mixed chamber ensembles and recorder consorts.
Join Ashley Solomon, Chair and Head of Historical Performance at the Royal College of Music and Director of Florilegium, for this morning practical session exploring music from the 17th and 18th centuries for chamber ensembles and recorder consorts (individuals and pre-formed groups welcome). We’ll share expertise and experiment with HiP ideas as a group, with Ashley coaching individuals and ensembles in turn. We’ll be playing at A415 (players of modern strings may also apply) and a harpsichord will be available for participants to use. There may also be opportunities for large ensemble playing and some individual lessons on the recorder and flute (modern and baroque). This workshop is suitable for intermediate to advanced players.
Once you have booked we will email a form for you to complete.
Please note there is a £1.50 administration fee per transaction
