OUR COVID-19 SAFETY POLICY
We have introduced a number of measures in line with current government advice for outdoor performances during the coronavirus pandemic. These measures are under constant review as things change but here are the current plans which apply to all outdoor performances at the NCEM in August and September 2020.
The entrance to the NCEM garden performances is via the gate from Walmgate opposite One Stop. Please note that the Percy’s Lane entrance will be closed to audience members. We will open the gates 30mins before the start of the performance to allow time for staggered arrival and to avoid large queues.
All tickets will be sent digitally and will be checked without contact and at a distance on arrival. Our stewards will then guide you to your allocated seating area – seats and rugs will be provided.
See below for more details on our ticketing policy.
The performance will last for around 40 mins with no interval. The NCEM toilets will be open through the performances if needed. We are now limited to one person per set of toilets so there may be queues. When going inside, we will ask you to wear a face covering in line with the current government advice.
Food and Drink
The NCEM bar will not be open for these performances. You are welcome to bring your own food and soft drinks but please take all your rubbish away with you.
Each person/household will be positioned at a 2m distance from others to watch the performance. You will have your own ‘bubble’ allocated and stewards will direct you to where you’ll be seated. Each bubble will have mats and chairs to sit on which will be thoroughly cleaned between each performance.
There will also be a one-way system in place to help you move around the space.
Once the performance has ended, our stewards will manage your departure from the garden so we don’t have large groups of people leaving at once. Please be patient with our stewards and follow their direction.
If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, or have been in direct contact with a diagnosed individual in the last 14 days and have been advised to self-isolate then you must not attend the event. If you are unable to attend due to illness then please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a ticket transfer or refund. Tickets can only be refunded if a performance has sold out.
If it is raining of the day of the performance then we cannot offer you a refund. Performances will still go ahead unless it is unsafe to do so.
If a performance is cancelled for any reason then we will contact you to let you know and to arrange a refund of your ticket money.
Please note that tickets MUST be purchased in advance, there will be no ticket sales on the door to reduce contact points. When booking, we will ask for your contact details including your mobile number which may be passed on to the test and trace scheme if required.
