AT THE NCEM

By purchasing a ticket (on our website, in person, or on the phone) you are agreeing to these terms and conditions of the NCEM.  We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.

Booking

It is the customer's responsibility to check that they have received their tickets and that the tickets issued from NCEM are accurate.  Please check tickets carefully for the correct performance, date and time.  If you have any queries, please contact the NCEM Box Office as soon as possible.

Customers are responsible for making sure the contact details held by the NCEM are up to date, to enable the customer to be contacted in the event of any changes or updates to the event.

NCEM reserves the right to limit the number of concessionary and Under 35 tickets available at any performance.

Entry

Every member of the audience, including children where applicable, must have a valid ticket.

Please contact the Box Office to check the suitability of performances for children.  Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Latecomers may be admitted on the advice of the performers, but this cannot be guaranteed. Please note that it may not be possible to sit in your purchased seat if you arrive late for a performance.

We will do our best to accommodate those needing to leave the auditorium during a performance due to a medical need.  Depending on availability and the nature of the performance, this may mean temporary re-seating in a seat near the rear of the auditorium until a suitable pause.

NCEM reserves the right to refuse admission or attendance to any patron, and may, on occasions conduct security searches.

Security

The NCEM accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal property brought to the NCEM.

CCTV is in operation on the premises for the purposes of crime prevention and detection.

Refunds and exchanges

Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged – except in the event of a cancelled performance.  Please note that administration fees are non-refundable.

On occasion, tickets may be accepted for re-sale where a performance is sold out.  A 10% administration charge is applicable.

Tickets must not be re-sold for profit or commercial gain by any outlet other than NCEM. Failure to comply will make tickets void.

Event cancellation/postponement

If a performance is cancelled, postponed or rescheduled, we will try to contact all customers using information provided at the time of booking, and this information will be placed on our website.  We cannot guarantee that customers will be informed before the performance date due to circumstances beyond our control.

In the event of a performance cancellation, customers will receive a full refund to the method of payment.  Unless otherwise specified, tickets for rescheduled performances will be valid for the new date and should be retained. For customers who are unable to attend the revised date, they will need to request a refund at least 30 calendar days before the revised performance date or by an earlier date, which will be communicated to you.

It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to check before attending whether a performance or event has been cancelled or rescheduled.  Management accept no responsibility for any additional costs (travel, accommodation etc) incurred due to the cancellation.

Mobile phones, photos and video recording

Mobile phones and any other electronic equipment should be silenced before entering the auditorium. 

Audience members are not allowed to take any photos or videos during a performance.

Events recorded for broadcast

NCEM or permitted third parties may carry out filming and sound recording at some events.  By purchasing tickets you consent to filming, photography and sound recording which may include you or any member of your party and its use in commercial distribution without payment or copyright.  Wherever possible, tickets and signage in the building will state whether events will be filmed.

Food and Drink

Only food and drink purchased at the NCEM may be consumed inside the venue or grounds, with the exception of food and drink required on medical grounds.

Changes to performances

NCEM reserves the right to make any alterations to an advertised programme rendered necessary by unavoidable causes.

Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers may only be exchanged, wholly or partly, for tickets at NCEM to the value indicated.  The expiry date is printed on the voucher. 

Gift Vouchers can be exchanged: in person at our box office, by phone on 01904 658338 or online, where the gift voucher amount must be equal to or less than the total transaction amount.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-replaceable whether lost, stolen or mislaid.

Performance feedback

If customers experience a problem while at the NCEM during a performance, please bring it to the attention of the Duty Manager immediately.  We regret that we may not be able to offer refunds or exchanges retrospectively.
