The York Early Music Christmas Festival was created in 1997 to introduce audiences to the extraordinary wealth of music associated with Advent, Christmas and Epiphany, from the Medieval to the Baroque, intertwined with the sagas, stories and tales of the north.

In 2021 the festival will run from Friday 3rd - Saturday 11th December with guests including The Gesualdo Six; Joglaresa; Pocket Sinfonia; Prisma; tenor James Gilchrist and lutenist Matthew Wadsworth with highlights including the Yorkshire Baroque Soloists presenting JS Bach’s B Minor Mass.

Full details of the festival, and when tickets will be available, will be shared at the end of August alongside news of the 2021 Christmas online festivities.

The NCEM is available to hire for anniversaries, birthday parties, wedding receptions, conferences, dinners and musical events.
