Developmental Workshop for baroque ensembles, 11th April 2021
Royal College of Music, London

The workshop was a development opportunity designed in response to Covid-19, as part of the New Generation Baroque Ensemble Scheme in partnership with BBC Radio 3 and the Royal College of Music.  Whilst the main scheme had been postponed due to the ongoing health crisis, the team behind it wanted to support young players in a turbulent time by offering unrivalled access to experts in the field as part of a special development day. A New Generation Baroque Ensemble Developmental Workshop was held at the Royal College of Music on Sunday 11th April.  The event, organised in strict compliance with the current guidelines on social-distancing, offered seven ensembles an opportunity to present selected repertoire to representatives from BBC Radio 3, NCEM, and RCM, receiving feedback on the session and generally on career development. The ensembles who participated were Apollo's Cabinet; Dramma per Musica; Ensemble Augelletti; Ensemble Hesperi; Ensemble Moliere; Grand Siècle; Lux Musicae London.
