Biography

Ensemble type - Oboe / bassoon repertoire
Historical period - 19th and early 20th centuries

Formed in 2013, Charme du Hautbois wanted to present rarely heard and unusual repertoire from the 19th and early 20th centuries using period instruments. Flexible in line up, charme du hautbois' repertoire is based around the oboe and bassoon and uses harp, piano, organ or string accompaniment. The players are all highly experienced chamber and orchestral musicians performing regularly with leading period instrument orchestras and modern ensembles.
Since its formation, they have given performances for the National Trust, Warwick Universtiy, Ipswich and Worcester lunchtime concert series,  and in London have appeared at Lauderdale house and St. James Piccadilly concert series.
