Come & Sing: Spem In Alium

Friday 14 July 2017
Chapter House, York Minster

2017 heralded the 40th anniversary of the York Early Music Festival and members of the audience were invited to be part of a very special event to mark the occasion. On Friday 14 July, there was a massed sing of Thomas Tallis' masterpiece Spem In Alium for 40 voices - one for each year that the festival has been running!

Supported of the Yorkshire Bach Choir, a massed audience of festival-goers came together in the beautiful setting of York Minster's Chapter House, to join their voices in song in celebration of this special anniversary.
