Story Orchestra: Four Seasons in One Day - May 2020

Story Orchestra: Four Seasons in One Day
Beverley and East Riding Early Music Festival Schools Project
May 18th - 22nd

The NCEM will be working with the Early Music ensemble Eboracum Baroque for our school's festival project as part of the Beverley and East Riding Early Music Festival 2020.

The ensemble will be delivering the workshop 'Story Orchestra: Four Seasons in One Day'.

The workshop day includes a live performance and narration from Vivaldi himself, to the whole school, with music from Vivaldi's Four Seasons on period instruments. This will then be followed by a vocal and body percussion workshop for individual year groups, centered upon the Thunderstorm depicted in Summer. This will also be accompanied by an arts and crafts workshop where children will have the opportunity to create a collage of the four seasons.

The ensemble will work across 5 primary schools from Monday 18th May - Friday 22nd May, performing to the whole school initially and then working with available year groups on the music and craft workshops across that day.

If your school would like to be involved then please contact Learning and Participation Manager Lottie on lottie.brook@ncem.co.uk
