Corelli            Concerto grosso in G minor op. 6, no. 8 (Christmas Concerto)
 
This festive programme of choral and instrumental music includes two pieces written for performance on Christmas Day:  Bach's ecstatic Magnificat and Corelli's famous Christmas concerto.  Charpentier's Mass setting incorporates Christmas folk songs and the opening of his Te Deum is now familiar as the theme tune of the European Broadcasting Union.
